Fire displaces at least 12 in Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS – Cedar Rapids fire crews spent about five hours working the scene of a south side apartment complex early Saturday morning.
Investigators said no one was injured in the fire at 5805 Muirfield Drive but at least 12 people were displaced. Capt. Emma Pulver said firefighters got the call before 5 a.m. on Saturday.
The American Red Cross said they are helping 14 people with shelter, food and clothing.
Investigators said they are still working to pinpoint a cause.
