Robin Washut, the assistant team publisher for HuskerOnline.com, says Anthony Hubbard has told him he has been in contact with Nebraska as a possible transfer destination.

Hubbard chose Iowa over Nebraska in April, then opted out of his scholarship with Iowa’s blessing this week.
It’s stating the obvious, but Hubbard didn’t leave Iowa because of its distance from his Maryland home. Despite what a Thursday press release from the University of Iowa suggested.
I agree Mike, I don’t think he left on his own or Iowa would have restricted his release as others have pointed out. Maybe you know the answer to this question. Even with Iowa placing no restrictions on the transfer wouldn’t the Big Ten rule on inter-conference transfers still apply? I wonder if we will ever know the truth or if Dochterman is right and it was really just team chemistry. In any case it’s too bad, it sounded like he could have helped the team. Thanks Mike.
