A driver led police on a chase Sunday night in Cedar Rapids.

Officials are not yet releasing many details, but initial reports suggest a Marion police officer tried to initiate a traffic stop near Bowman Woods Elementary just before 11:30 p.m. However, the driver didn’t stop and led police all the way to 15th Avenue and J Street SW.

Officers arrested one person on suspicion of several charges, including eluding police. The driver hasn’t yet been identified, but officers say it was a minor.

More details are expected to be released later Monday.
