Iowa picked up its third recruit for the 2011 class when junior-college All-American Anthony Hubbard selected the Hawkeyes over Nebraska in an announcement Saturday morning at the Hylton Boys and Girls Club outside of Washington D.C.

Hubbard, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, averaged nearly 20.7 points and 10.1 rebounds a game for Frederick (Md.) Community College. He shot nearly 65 percent from the floor.

"He’s far from refined, and he is getting better," Frederick Coach Dave Miller said. "Wherever he goes next year, he will be much better than he was for us. Senior year, he’s going to be much better than his junior year. He’s getting by the moment. He’s like a sponge. He soaks it all in."

Hubbard joins guard Josh Oglesby of Cedar Rapids Washington and forward Aaron White of Strongsville, Ohio as Iowa recruits.
