Aller named president of Alliant Energy foundation

Tom Aller of Cedar Rapids has been appointed president of Alliant Energy's philanthropic foundation.

Alliant announced on Thursday, Feb. 17, that Aller will be president of the Alliant Energy Foundation. He has served on the foundation's board since 2005, in addition to duties as president of Alliant's Interstate Power and Light utility and Alliant's senior vice president of energy resource development.

“I'm very proud of the support the Alliant Energy Foundation has provided across our utility service territories,” Aller said. “It is an honor and privilege to be named as the board's president.”

John Larsen, who is president of Alliant's Wisconsin Power and Light Company utility, was named to join the foundation's board of directors.
