CEDAR RAPIDS - Three Cedar Rapids teenagers are charged with robbing seven people at gunpoint last month, according to court documents.
Nico L. Tillmon, 17, and Nicholas D. Manyfield and Joseph A. Abouraad, both 16, are each charged with seven felony counts of first-degree burglary in the Dec. 17 incident in the parking lot at Garfield Elementary School, 1201 Maplewood Dr. NE.
The victims told police three men, who were dressed in black with their faces covered, took wallets, cash and an iPod about 11 p.m. One of the robbers was armed and fired a shot into the rear window of a car owned by one of the victims.
According to the complaint filed Friday, Tillmon, Manyfield and Abouraad 'acted in concert to rob the seven victims,' with one of those charged firing the weapon into the car's window.
Tillmon and Abouraad both admitted involvement in the incident, and a search of Manyfield's cell phone 'implicated him in the offense,' according to the complaint.
Abouraad, of 3513 Sheridan Dr. SE, and Tillmon and Manyfield, both of 931 Old Marion Rd. NE, all made initial court appearances Friday.
