The University of Iowa announced that it is rescheduling its home dual against Indiana from Sunday, Feb. 6 to Friday, Feb. 4. The move is an attempt to eliminate a conflict between the Hawkeyes meet and Super Bowl XLV. The dual will still be held at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Below is the official news release from the UI.

IOWA VS. INDIANA DUAL MOVED TO FEBRUARY 4

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa’s wrestling meet with Indiana has been rescheduled for Friday, February 4 at 7 p.m. at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The dual, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, February 6 at 5:30 p.m., has been moved so that Iowa wrestling fans don’t have to choose between cheering on the Hawkeyes and watching Superbowl XLV. Tickets for the dual are $10 for adults and $5 for youth, if purchased in advance from the UI Athletics Ticket Office at (319) 335-9323 or online at hawkeyesports.com. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for youth if purchased at the dual.

Up next for the eighth-ranked Hawkeyes (8-0-1, 1-0 Big Ten) is Saturday’s dual with Big Ten foe Ohio State (2-5, 1-1) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The “Gold Rush” dual, which will be televised live on the Big Ten Network, will be held at 3 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear gold attire to the meet.
