-- Defensive coordinator Norm Parker could return to the office next week depending how his rehab goes this week, Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said Tuesday.
"It could be a week after that [Michigan State], but I think that's realistic," Ferentz said. "It won't be this week, obviously. We say Michigan State, but that's out of the center right now where he's at getting those rehabs. So, he's not home yet, so at least that."
Parker is recovering from having his right foot amputated due to complications from diabetes.
-- Fullback Brett Morse is a "likely" after missing the Michigan game with a back strain.
"I think it's realistic to think he'll play," Ferentz said. "He'll practice today without contact, and then hopefully tomorrow be back in full. So we're hoping to get him back. It's a tissue thing or a muscle thing, nothing structurally."
-- Middle linebacker Jeff Tarpinian looks like a no-go with his neck/shoulder stinger. It's an injury that causes weakness. Linebacker and neck is not a place to take a chance, so this is going to take some time.
"Probably less likely," Ferentz said. "We'll just have to wait and see. It's just taking a while to regenerate. Hopefully, you know, hopefully it's coming sooner than later."
-- Defensive tackle Mike Daniels is a go. He left last week's game with an elbow injury. Ferentz said he's fine and will play. I saw him in the complex. He was getting dressed and ready for practice.
That's the news. More later.
