Go to the 1:34 mark of KCRG's Scott Saville's report. There's DJK, talking about his record.
Johnson-Koulianos scored Iowa's first touchdown on a 14-yard reception in the first period. He added a 31-yard scoring reception in the second period and a 19-yard touchdown in the fourth. He ended the game with four receptions for 70 yards. Johnson-Koulianos improved his career totals to 152 catches for 2,274 yards and 14 touchdowns. He became Iowa's career leader in receiving yards (surpassing Tim Dwight, 2,271). He is tied with Kahlil Hill in receptions, five behind Kevin Kasper. The three receiving touchdowns are a career high.
Johnson-Koulianos is tied for seventh on the career list with 14 touchdown receptions. He added two KO returns for 62 yards vs. Michigan.
And from his Facebook page:
"It's taken five long years to reach this point. What an incredible journey it's been. So many places, so many faces. There have been ups and downs, but this feeling makes it all worth it. I want to thank God, my family, friends, and fans for their support. Also, a special shout out to my haters, I couldn't have done it without you. Men may lie, women may lie, but numbers sure as hell don't. MPOD. Go Hawks!"
Iowa's Derrell Johnson-Koulianos (15) beats Michigan's Kenny Demens (25) and James Rogers (18) to the goal line for a touchdown during the first quarter of their Big Ten Conference College Football game Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
