Iowa needs a Secretary of State independent from the Democratic and Republican parties. An impartial Secretary of State should see our state through the redistricting after this year’s census. Our state will need a fair, non-partisan person to oversee what will undoutably be a heated election in 2012.

We do not need our state’s image tarnished the way Florida’s was with a hanging-chad controversy if we are to maintain our first-in-the-union caucus.

Jake Porter is the best candidate to see Iowa through this difficult time. He has also agreed to a pay cut once elected, something the current office holder has declined to do.

As a Libertarian, Jake will look for efficient, effective and small-government solutions in ways that benefit all Iowans. For more information, visit www.jake
