Mel already has his Big Board list out and will be updating it from now until next spring.
Iowa defensive end Adrian Clayborn, to no one’s surprise, has been fifth on that list for a couple of weeks with the following comment from Kiper:
“Most consistent, complete defensive end on the board. Solid pass-rusher, steady against the run. Fits as a 3-4 or 4-3 end and simply batters linemen.”
And, in case you’re wondering, Mel’s top four are: Washington QB Jake Locker, Stanford QB Andrew Luck, North Carolina DE Robert Quinn and Georgia WR A.J. Green. Interestingly, two of those players, Quinn and Green, are facing NCAA issues, the former over eligibility and the latter over the personal sale of one of his jerseys.
