In the beginning of writing this, Bob Barker on the “Price is Right” came to mind. The announcer calls a name and says “come on down, you’re the next contestant …” However, it’s the ending of the show that sticks in my mind. Barker would say “remember to have your pets spayed or neutered.”
I would like to ask farmers if they would be interested in buying cats or kittens or litters of kittens at their local animal shelters. Hopefully these cats or kittens are spayed or neutered, and if not, that you’ll be willing to pay the cost, with you supplying proper shelter, food and vet care.
This would be an admirable gesture. With flooded homes being demolished, the cats and kittens are coming out of the woodwork more than ever. This would help the cities that have dealt with flood disasters control their feral cat population.
In return, it could be a good way of taking care of rodent problems for the farmers. Please consider helping.
