Police arrested a Cedar Rapids man early Monday morning when they found him nearly naked and riding a bicycle in the 1000 block of Ninth St. SW.

Officers had been dispatched to the area around 3 a.m. when someone reported seeing a man with a gun. The 911 caller said the the man was wearing a Cardinals hat and riding a bike, but was not wearing a shirt. When police arrived, he had ditched the pants.

Todd M Pender, 21, was intoxicated, police said. He matched the description given by the caller.

“He also was not wearing any pants,” the officer reported.

No gun was found. Pender was arrested for public intoxication and taken to the Linn County Jail.
