I asked for you to submit your top 10 games from the Kirk Ferentz era and you came through.

This is what's going down here in the next two weeks:

I tallied votes from between 50 and 100 fans on the blog, via e-mail and on Twitter and came up with a readers' top 10. I didn't do like golf, either, where if, say, you had a three-way tie for fifth, the guy a stroke back gets eighth-place money. No, I just carded back to sixth, so no rip off there.

Readers' picks will be released at midnight this (Monday) morning.

I have to say, you impressed me. A few games were voted in that I didn't think would have a chance and that show me you've been paying attention since Ferentz's first days, when he had dark hair. But hey, at least he still has hair, says the guy who just went down to a one guard.

At noon the next two weeks, my top 10 will be released. Warning, I have a few doozies, but, for the most part, we match up.

I wrote a introduction and then I dug out the game story, with photos and, in a few cases, some YouTubes.

Mike Hlas and Scott Dochterman also might have a top 10 here and there next week, so check their blogs.

This was a lot of fun. I want to thank everyone who submitted comments. I used quite a few. In a lot of ways, this blog is only as good as the readers. I've written it before and I'll write it again, this is here for you to participate and take from what you will. You push me to fill this space and fill it with information and, sometimes, entertainment.

Thirty-six games made the list. There were three votes for last year's loss at Ohio State. No Iowa State games were nominated, but I imagine if we were talking losses, ISU would have a heavy representation. And who knows, maybe will be talking memorable losses at some point. (Though I doubt it, I'm just not sure folks want to dwell on those.)

Thanks again. Hope you enjoy.
