Family Fun Fest at Kernels game Friday

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Principal Financial Group’s Family Fun Fest will be in Cedar Rapids on Friday (June 11) at Veterans Memorial Stadium before the Kernels baseball game.

The Fun Fest travels to minor league baseball ballparks across the country. It will be open to fans at 3:35 p.m. There is no admission.

The 4,000-square-foot exhibit includes a minor league baseball museum featuring memorabilia from more than 100 years of baseball history; a midway with batting and pitching cages, giant slides, bounce houses and bungee runs; a home run derby videogame arcade; free souvenir baseball cards, free Sports Illustrated Kids magazine covers; and more, including attractions from Topps Trading Cards, Random House Children’s Books, and Louisville Slugger.

The Fun Fest, now in its seventh season of touring, has been visited by nearly 2 million baseball fans at 300 stops.
