Ellis Pool reopening set Saturday

Officials hope the weather holds this weekend for the reopening of Ellis Pool.

The Cedar Rapids pool was badly damaged in the 2008 flood. On Saturday, it will reopen for the first time in almost two years. The city will hold a grand reopening for the pool, followed by a free swim from 1 to 5 p.m.

All city pools will open this weekend and start their summer schedule next week.
