Roasted chicken success!

Yay! I have roasted chicken. I followed all the way through on the recipe and made the gravy. (God bless whomever made the stick blender.) I highly recommend it. The chicken is good, but the gravy, in my opinion, makes it so much better.
I tried to make some roasted potatoes as a side. Um. I forgot to stir them, so the shallots and the rosemary got a little burned. Half way through, I added a little white wine to loosen up the bits, and this seemed to work.
My thanks to folks who recommended various ingredients. I’ll have photos up tomorrow on Flickr.
